About Shannon
R. Shannon Kite is a Rockingham County native who has been part of the Cook Attorneys team since 2003. A graduate of Widener University School of Law, Mr. Kite focuses his practice on criminal defense — representing clients in felony, misdemeanor, and serious traffic cases.
Mr. Kite has handled more than 4,700 cases across Harrisonburg and surrounding jurisdictions and has been associated with our Harrisonburg law firm since 2003. His experience includes both state and federal courts, with admissions to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia and the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Kite’s roots in Rockingham County (Spotswood High School alumnus) and his familiarity with the local courts inform his approach to every matter he handles.
